Saturday - Fun With Family

Gracie had a restless night of tossing and turning. Finally she snuggled in just as I needed to get up to take a shower. Go figure. Gracie woke up about 6:30 a.m. and snuggled with cousin Kayla for awhile before getting up. Gracie loves her snuggles in the morning.

Since she had an audience, Gracie decided to not open her mouth for her meds this morning. It took some coaxing to finally get her mouth open. She can be such a tease sometimes. Gracie had a great morning playing with Aunt Sheila, Uncle Chris, and cousins Kayla and Jason. Gracie also liked watching Sandy, the yellow lab, out our deck window and Sandy seemed to like her too.

Gracie took a very short morning nap, I think she was too excited to sleep with people to play with at our house. Gracie showed off her dancing skills and did a little "cooking" with Aunt Sheila.

After lunch, our refugees (as they called themselves) went home and Gracie, mommy, and daddy all took a nap. Gracie woke up, but none of us were ready to get out of bed, so we just played and snuggled for awhile. About the time I was going to take Gracie outside for a walk it began to rain, so we played indoors instead.

We started the reduction of the Vigabatrin for Gracie today and this evening she had an absence seizure on me. It was fairly short, but I'm hoping this isn't a sign of things to come. She was much more jittery and restless this afternoon too. We were warned this could happen as she starts the reduction. I wonder if the restlessness might be in part that our company was gone and she was used to lots of activity and attention.

Gracie splish-splashed in the tub tonight and was ready for bed at a little after 8:00 p.m. It took her a while to settle down to go to sleep, but is very peaceful at the moment.

We hope you are all having a good weekend. We are enjoying the nice calming rain.

Love,
Lisa, Jeff, and Gracie
