Thursday - A Good Day

Gracie had a really good night last night. This was the first night in a long time that she didn't pull or rub at her ears in her sleep. YAY!!!!! She awoke at 5:30 a.m. and was quite adamant that she help daddy eat his bagel. She took the top half as her own. I shoveled in the meds and all was going fine until the last spoonful of applesauce of meds, she held that in her mouth with a big piece of bagel. She also held her tummy so I knew she wasn't feeling great. I finally dug that out and a little later offered her meds in some coconut milk yogurt (a new find at the Good Food Store) -- thanks for the suggestion, Leah! She held that in her mouth and let that fall into the tub while she bathed. After she had a pretty loose diaper, all was fine. Then she ate that last med with some applesauce and crackers.

Gracie got to hang out with Auntie Cheryl and Cousin Crystal this morning and thought that was a great treat. Crystal let her play on her computer -- big hit. Auntie Cheryl gave her a piggy back ride -- another big hit.

Gracie's appetite came back at lunchtime and she ate better than she has in a while. I offered her some afternoon snacks, but she didn't want anything, but by the time supper came around she was starving. I've never seen her shovel chicken into her mouth so fast in my life. She also took her meds with no problem at all. Gracie was so thirsty today. She would go get a glass off the counter and give it to me and tell me she wanted "juice". She guzzled and had many great wet diapers. Another yay. Oh the little things that make me happy.

This evening we took walks and wagon rides around the neighborhood and Gracie was thrilled to be in the fresh air.

The best news of all is that we did not see any seizure activity. A great relief and prayers answered. Thank you all for the prayers and good thoughts.

Love,
Lisa, Jeff, and Gracie
