I know, the first question is "what time did Grace get you up today?" - the answer is 4:50 a.m. - thank you.
Grace has developed a cold. So, with her compromised immune system, we were off to the Dr's office to be sure that it was not turning into pneumonia, or anything else.
Since our primary doctor was not available today, we had a very nice substitute doctor (do you call doctors "substitutes?" - "Stand-ins?" - "filler-inners?" - "different person with a stethoscope?" What is the proper term?). She was one of the few people, if not the only person, on Baldwin 3 that we had not previously met (and I thought we had met EVERYONE there). She gave Gracie a "you have a cold, but otherwise fine" bill of health.
Grace had both a morning and afternoon nap today. She had a longer afternoon nap than usual. I thought it might be a long one when we were getting ready and her head went *clunk* on my shoulder before my first song was done - which was a bummer, as I love to sing.
4:00 was physcial therapy time. While our therapist was pleased with how well Grace is doing, she was concerned about Grace's foot posture when standing or walking. It looks like we will be getting foot braces. She showed me the model that she is recommending. They are . .(pause, wait for it) . . pink! No Problem!
We will, more than likely, have to go to Mayo's Physical Medicine dept to get the process completed. On the upside, Grace hasn't met everyone in the Clinic yet - so this will get us a little closer to our goal!
That's about it for today. Have to be off. Have a load of pink in the dryer (no, none are mine) and then off to bed.
Be well, be safe, behave.
Love,
Jeff, Lisa, and Gracie
