Gracie had a somewhat restless night and awoke at 2:30 a.m. and as hard as she tried, she was unable to fall asleep until about 4:00 a.m. I walked with her and held her, we rocked, we snuggled, we tried it all. When 6:00 a.m. came around and it was time to wake her up she looked so peaceful.
Gracie had a good day at school and her teacher said she came to opening group very excited to do the school routine this morning. (Every morning they start with the same routine.) She slept on the bus ride home again, so no nap this afternoon. Mandy did have her lay down and rest a bit, but no nap. I think that will probably be the norm for school days. That makes for a very tired girl at night. She was in a great mood today, despite her nose continuing to run and her cough, although productive, just sounds nasty.
This evening was a bit trying as Gracie was so tired, we saw lots of tantrums, but we also saw some smiles. She did not want to take a bath tonight, but once in the tub she had a good time.
She is now fast asleep!
